I’m a computer programmer living in Canberra, Australia and in my spare time I enjoy reading, vegan cooking and recycling for home decoration. For a while I’ve been getting fed up with the so called “fresh” food in supermarkets, having access to a farmers’ market only once a week and the high costs of organic vegetables. To top it off, I got an infection that reduced my diet to vegetables, vegetables, legumes, nuts and vegetables and I really started to notice the difference in quality at the supermarkets. So I have set a goal to grow all my veggies myself by the end of one year. Conveniently for this pursuit, my husband and I have just bought our own house, and so I’m going to try out a bunch of ideas and experiment a bit. I have a 650 sqm block, and while hardly a farm, I’ll find some ways to make it work!
